What breed of bird should I get?

Ok, so I really want to get two birds (male and female). I am new to bird owning. I have owned dogs for years, but I can imagine that they are totally different. So, I have experience in dog owning but done with birds. I am in love with cockatiels and parakeets, more the cockatiels though. I love big birds, and go to a bird store often to go look at them, but I am planning on starting out with something smaller. So I was thinking about cockatiels, parakeets or zebra finches or Pintail Whydah finches. I read somewhere that finches aren't as social (with humans) as other birds, so that about ruined my dreams of a Pintail Whydah Finch, because I want it to be social with humans. So, I am 16 years old, I have a 12 year old brother and a 11 year old sister. I would be paying for and taking care of the birds on my own. I also have an American Pit Bull Terrier and two Shiloh Shepherds. I train dogs, and was wondering how you can train birds, and what things you can train them (besides the speaking ones) Thank you so much! :D
