Help with mean older pupils at school?

So basically, a group of boys in the year above mine in school are all complete twats. Whenever they walk past any of us, us meaning anyone in our year, they make a snidy comment, like i walked past one the other day and they went 'HAHAHA YOU MISSED YOUR BUS' and 'F*CKING B*TCH!' it's like, woah, calm down, i've never spoke to you in my life..? It's got to the stage where when you walk past them you bow down your head and runaway and hope they don't say anything that will make your day a f*cking misery. going to a teacher would be no help at all because they are the most popular boys in the school, and out of school, so telling on them would get you slagged off even more. i hate living in fear of walking past them, and dreading what they'll say. Also, there's no way you could stand up for yourself, because they all laugh at you and gang up on you and i can't stand the fact of being hated, and i just don't know what to do anymore :/
