Doctor assisted sucide?

Let's say that a woman is slowly dying from cancer. She will slowly, and painfully die. So she asked her doctor to kill her. Now there could be a cure for the type of cancer the woman may have, but it could take ten years to find that cure. So do you disagree with a doctor putting someone out of their misery, or do agree with a doctor for giving their patient what they had asked for?
